Outstanding technological advance
To belong to the “Wachstumschampions 2018” is a confirmation of the way we have been following in the last years. It is our vision to enable patients of every age a healthy, active and pain-free life. Our answer to this is a causal therapy approach for the treatment of a huge number of degenerative diseases of the musculoskeletal system as well as the use of MBST’s regenerative potential for the acceleration of healing processes after injuries or surgery.

This success confirms our vision
More and more patients are enquiring about the MBST Magnetic Resonance Therapy in certified general practices, specialist practices, health centers and clinics. This trust in the therapeutical efficiency that has developed over the last 20 years is based on the scientific confirmation by continuous interdisciplinary research as much as on the very good treatment results. This is why our company grows so strongly and sustainably – not only in Germany and Europe but worldwide.

World market leader · MBST Magnetic Resonance technology
Our company focuses on expanding our own expertise in medical technology and securing our position as world market leader in the field of therapeutically used magnetic resonance technology by new patents. The growth of our company happens organically, out of our own business strength. Besides geographical expansion, the extension of the possible indications is an important factor for us. The sensing of potentials, of correct developments is the basis for our success.

Strong partner in business
To keep up the development and innovative pace of our company we constantly invest in own research and development projects. We are securing our position as world market leader with new patents, innovative therapy devices and a list of possible indications that is under constant revision. Our present day position is the result of hard work because we consciously cultivate and combine our strengths: great personnel with a huge motivation for innovation and highest demands in quality, enthusiasm for the fast realisation of plans and the belief that in cooperation with our satisfied customers and partners we can always be one step ahead. Our whole team is proud to receive this award and assures that we will continue to make our contribution to “MBST · HealthTech Made in Germany“.

Shortly before our awarding as a champion of business growth the announcement of the Nobel prize for medicine has acknowledged a field of research in which MedTec Medizintechnik has been active for some years: the study of the molecular mechanisms of the circadian rhythms of the inner clocks of the body. Nowadays, it seems to be certain that disturbances of the chronobiological system can be one cause for the development of many diseases. This line of thought emphasizes the importance of chronobiological studies. Study results confirm that MBST Magnetic Resonance technology has an impact on the transcriptionel as well as on the metabolic clock of cells. These findings are currently worked into the newest generation of MBST therapy devices so that it becomes possible to influence resp. reprogram the inner cell clocks in a targeted manner. This opens up revolutionary new therapy options, for instance for osteoarthritis, and powerfully underlines the unique approach of the MBST therapy system. We are sure that with our outstanding technology we will continue to reach growth rates above average in the years to come.

“An innovation has to make the world a little better and needs to be a bit out of the ordinary”, says Axel Muntermann, president and founder of MedTec Medizintechnik GmbH. And his company is a bit out of the ordinary in the best sense of the word with its constant development of new products and innovative improvements in medical technology. The family business was founded in 1998. The 18 employees produce medical technological therapy systems that use magnetic resonance technology for the causal, non-surgical treatment of bone and joint diseases. The company invented this therapy option and with it has become world market leader in the field of therapeutical magnetic resonance.

Muntermann’s strategy for innovations sounds easy: “We develop a prime product without any competitors and get a patent. This way we don’t have to worry about prize pressures and can focus on further development.” Everyone in the company knows that his work can improve the quality of life of others and so Muntermann as well as his employees is working with blood, sweat and tears. His vision: “I want to help affected persons worldwide.”

Help others – with gut feeling
Bone and joint diseases like osteoarthritis and osteoporosis can be treated by stimulating cells with Magnetic Resonance technology.

These findings of the MedTec Medizintechnik GmbH are the basis for their success and their position as number one worldwide in this field of expertise. Axel Muntermann is president and creative head of the company. He is always busy finding new possibilities of application for his therapeutic devices. As electrical engineer he is capable of reflecting on a variety of technological facts and keeps on generating new ideas for his business from these mind games. “For example I talk to doctors, take part in their discussions, visit fairs and symposiums and read various journals to get inspired.”

“Often, my entrepreneurial gut feeling, that tells me if an idea can be realised or not, is the basis of an innovation.” The firm has doubled its value of sales: The success confirms his gut feelings. After conquering the German market the company expanded its activities to the whole of Europe. Today, more than 1,000 therapy devices are in use worldwide which are sold in a franchise system.

It is due to this expansion that the volume of sales could be increased by 100% every year. And new promising therapy devices are already in development: the next series will be smaller and thus can be used in other fields: practices with limited space, dental or veterinary medicine.

Improve quality of life
Muntermann’s strategy for innovations sounds easy: “We develop a prime product without any competitors and get the patent. In this way we don’t have to worry about prize pressures and can focus on further development.” Everyone in the company knows that his work can improve the quality of life of others and so Muntermann as well as his employees is working with blood, sweat and tears.
